The Consummate Host – Princess Cruises ®

One of the pioneers of the modern-day cruise industry, Princess Cruises began as a one-ship company operating cruises to the Mexican Riviera in 1965. Having celebrated its 40th year of operation in 2005, the Los Angeles area-based company ranks as one of the largest cruise lines in the industry, visiting all seven continents on a total of 17 ships in 2007.

Today Princess is a leader in the rapidly growing cruise market, proudly sailing its ships to more than 270 of the very best destinations worldwide included in more than 90 unique itineraries that cover the Caribbean, Alaska, Mexico, the Panama Canal, Australia/New Zealand, the South Pacific, Hawaii/Tahiti, Europe, India, Africa, Asia, South America/the Amazon, Canada/New England and Antarctica. Simply put, Princess Cruises goes to more places than any other major line.

Two new ships are set to make their debuts in 2007. Emerald Princess will now sail the very popular Grand Mediterranean and Greek Isles itineraries, while the new Royal Princess will sail five unique itineraries, including the intriguing Connoisseur’s Mediterranean. We expect a large number of passengers from Hong Kong to be interested in these classical itineraries and exciting new ships.

Princess Cruises also offers one of a host of distinctive cruising experiences that it makes available as a member of World’s Leading Cruise Lines of the cruise giant Carnival Corporation. It clearly excels in a particular style of cruise vacationing, and enables passengers of all ages to enjoy a complete escape with Princess Cruises. Our C.R.U.I.S.E. credo says it all – Courtesy, Respect, Unfailing In Services Excellence.

Love Boat Now the Industry Leader
Princess was once a household name as the star of the long-running television series inaugurated in 1975, The Love Boat by Douglas S. Cramer. The memorable appellation has remained synonymous with the company right up to the present day. In 1998, Princess returned to television in a revised version of the popular show, Love Boat: The Next Wave. The show, which ran for two seasons on the UPN network, was set aboard the Sun Princess.

Princess has been enjoying remarkable growth and expansion with more new ships to feature the line’s innovative designs and services. The most dramatic step in its building program came in 1998 with the introduction of the 109,000-ton Grand Princess, which debuted as the world's largest and most expensive cruise ship. The ship brought the concept of choice in cruising to a new level and featured the never-before-seen total of three main dining rooms and entertainment lounges, a greatly expanded number of alternative dining venues, and an array of exciting new features, including a wedding chapel, a dramatic nightclub 15 decks above the ocean and more Balcony than could be found on any other cruise ship.

As Princess now celebrates its history of more than 40 years, the company's reputation as a leader in the cruise industry rests, as it long has, on its innovative ship design, unique and diverse itineraries, and industry innovations that have been instrumental in the growing popularity of the modern-day cruise vacation.
